All audiences from 6 years old. Estimated duration: 2 hours

Concert:

This concert is a poetic and musical reflection on women: creation, inspiration, strength and weakness, tenacity and agonies

Combining contemporary works by composers Julieta Szewach and Patricia Martinez with pieces by Hildegard of Bingen, a nun and composer of the eleventh century, or portraits of women by Cuban composer Leo Brouwer, the musicians seek to glimpse the image of the Eternal Woman in the contrasts between music of today and the past.

Workshop

After the concert, come and discover how improvisation works and let your musical creativity run wild! This workshop consists of an improvisation session where you can learn the basics and explore these techniques on your own, guided by the musicians. You will have the opportunity to explore the diversity of the instruments presented: the flute, the viola and the guitar.  The artists will introduce you to the contemporary playing techniques for each of these instruments, illustrating how they can be used in todays music.
